Terrell Strategies looks for the WIN in every project we take on, and won't take on a project unless we believe we can win. Below is an example of our success in creating and executing successful marketing and branding strategies.
In 2019, we were hired by the developers of the Tapestry Master Planned Community in Hesperia to helm the branding and organization of an effort to rebrand the "High Desert" (Victorville/Barstow area) as the "Mojave River Valley.
In addition to forming and organizing a grassroots organization that would take the rebranding to the people of the region (Mojave River Valley Alliance), my efforts included logo design, ad campaign development, website development (www.MojaveRiverValley.com) and social media campaign development and execution.
From the start, we organized the Mojave River Valley Alliance, which was made up of local business and civic leaders from across the region. We held a kick off event to introduce the effort, and were able to gain the attendance of City Council members, City Managers, business leaders and others from across the Mojave River Valley. We equipped members with materials and message points, and sent them out to civic and community groups to tell the story of the new rebranding.
Our first major victory came on October 1, 2019, when the City of Hesperia officially endorsed the Mojave River Valley branding campaign, and committed to using the regional term in all communications. In early 2020, the largest commercial real estate listing service in the U.S., CoStar Group, began identifying the region as the Mojave River Valley thanks to our efforts.
